by Mohammad Ghazal

The UAE Cybersecurity Council has issued a national alert regarding the potential risk of cyber-attacks targeting the country’s digital infrastructure and assets. The Council has urged both public and private sectors to exercise extreme caution and be prepared for any potential cyber threats.
In response, public and private entities are called upon to activate their cyber emergency response systems in collaboration with relevant authorities, enabling the sharing of information to proactively prevent possible malicious attacks. The Council emphasizes the need to address various cyber threats faced by vital sectors, as well as activating protection systems, implementing cybersecurity policies, and raising awareness among authorities about suspicious electronic activities that could damage their systems.
The United Arab Emirates is committed to adopting best practices and standards for secure digital transformation and protection of the national digital infrastructure and space. Mohammed Hamad Al Kuwaiti, Head of Cyber Security for the Government, stated that the UAE Cyber Security Council works with its partners to thwart more than 50,000 cyberattacks daily, targeting strategic national sectors.
