Bloomspoon launches plantable cutlery concept in Dubai

by Madaline Dunn

Bloomspoon has launched its plantable cutlery concept in Dubai, which it says is the first of its kind in the world. The company’s utensils are biodegradable and made from wheat straw, containing a seed capsule, which can be used to grow herbs, vegetables, or flowers.

Commenting on the company’s mission and offerings, Mostafa Khattab, Founder and CEO of Bloomspoon, said: “We’re more than a brand; we’re a movement towards sustainable living. Our mission is simple: to provide eco-conscious consumers with products that make a positive impact on the planet.”

Bloomspoon’s products also include plantable pencils, toothbrushes and growing kits.

Alongside its sustainable solutions, Bloomspoon also dedicates a portion of its sales to local charities. During Ramadan, for example, Bloomspoon shared that it will donate 5 per cent of all orders to contribute to charitable initiatives across the UAE.

The company also plants a tree for every order placed on its website.
