ROSHN and Cisco sign MoU for IoT technology exploration in smart cities

PIF-owned giga-project and real estate developer, ROSHN Group, and Cisco have signed a collaboration framework through which the two will explore innovation in designing and building future-proof, sustainable smart buildings.

According to the company, the MoU focuses on the potential collaboration between both companies to explore the use of Internet-of-Things (IoT) technology in building future-proof, sustainable, and smart buildings.

Further, Cisco’s technologies will be deployed to bolster ROSHN’s upcoming Innovation Hub, it was shared.

Jayesh Maganlal, Group Chief Information and Digital Officer, ROSHN Group, explained that the agreement will assist the company in leveraging concepts such as IoT for new innovations in areas such as energy efficiency and smart building management.

“The goal is to use technology for the benefit of our residents and communities throughout the Kingdom,” added Maganlal.”
