iyris (formerly RedSea), an AgriClimate Tech business, has announced an exclusive distribution agreement with Sherwood Middle East (Sherwood), an agricultural supplies distributor and part of Silal, for its SecondSky greenhouse covers in the UAE.
It was shared that the agreement expands Sherwood’s product range to include agricultural coverings for the farming community and appoints Sherwood the exclusive distributor of SecondSky in the UAE.
According to iyris, the SecondSky greenhouse covers block near infrared heat radiation, reducing energy consumption by over 40 per cent, and water use by 30 per cent.
The company explained that the product aims to transform farming operations by improving yield and produce quality and profit margins in hot climates.

Stockil called the agreement a “major step” in advancing commercial farming in the region in a more “sustainable and lucrative manner.”
