A1RWATER Launches Facility to Produce Water From Air

by Madaline Dunn

A1RWATER, an atmospheric water generation company, has launched a new facility in Dubai Industrial City (DIC), which is targeting over 100,000 litres of water directly from the air daily.

The facility, set to be fully operational in Q4 2024, will house 50 ‘A1R3000’ units, each producing 3,000 litres of water per day, for an output of roughly 120,000 litres.

Dave Cupit, Global COO, called the facility a “key milestone” that expands the company’s production capacity and “fills a market gap.”

According to Cupit, UAE fresh groundwater levels have decreased over the past ten years by 76 per cent, while water demand, by contrast, is expected to increase 30 per cent over the next decade.

The Mohamed bin Zayed Water Initiative was launched earlier this year in the UAE to raise awareness of the severity of the crisis and stimulate efforts to address it.

“We are here to shift the trajectory of water access in the UAE through our ability to generate clean water directly from the air—no infrastructure, no plastics, just pure, sustainable water,” said Cupit speaking on the company’s aims.
