At LEAP 2025, Zoom is set to announce the launch of a dedicated data center in Saudi Arabia along with new AI-driven innovations designed to meet the needs of businesses, government entities, and individuals in the Kingdom.
Setting out plans for significant investment in Saudi Arabia over the next three years, Zoom’s VP – METAP Region, said the organization is aligned with Saudi Vision 2030 and the Kingdom’s rapid journey to becoming a global technology hub.
“Our presence in Saudi Arabia reflects the power of innovation, ingenuity, and collaboration,” said Mohannad AlKalash, VP – METAP Region. “Through investments in local infrastructure and the development of Arabic-language AI solutions, we are enabling businesses to thrive and lead in a rapidly evolving digital landscape. Together with the Kingdom, we are helping to build a future where technology fuels progress, opportunity, and sustainable growth.”
This is the third year Zoom is participating in LEAP 2025, the region’s premier technology and innovation event.
Zoom in Saudi Arabia
From its entry into the Saudi market, Zoom heralded the beginning of a partnership founded on shared aspirations for digital transformation. Early adoption of the platform was driven by private sector organizations seeking to enhance productivity and overcome geographical barriers. As hybrid workplaces became the norm, Zoom evolved beyond a video communication tool into a comprehensive AI-first platform that integrates intelligent features such as AI Companion, smart meeting summaries, and workspace solutions. These tools have transformed the way businesses in Saudi Arabia operate, enabling seamless collaboration between in-office and remote teams.
Zoom is also working to localize its advanced AI solutions for the Saudi market. The Arabic-enabled AI Companion is being tailored to operate seamlessly on regional infrastructure, ensuring compliance with local regulations and delivering premium AI capabilities to customers. This includes tools like AI Meeting Summaries and virtual assistants designed to streamline workflows and boost productivity at no additional cost to users.
Beyond technology, Zoom is equally focused on empowering the next generation of Saudi talent. Initiatives like the MiSK Fellowship, which brought Saudi youth to Zoom’s headquarters in 2024, illustrate the company’s dedication to talent development and innovation. By providing young Saudis with firsthand exposure to cutting-edge practices, Zoom is helping to nurture the next generation of leaders in the Kingdom’s tech ecosystem.
As Saudi Arabia cements its position as a global tech hub, Zoom’s evolution in the Kingdom represents a compelling example of successful digital transformation alignment. The platform’s upward trajectory mirrors the Kingdom’s own digital goals, making it an integral part of Saudi Arabia’s technological future.
