The Fujairah International Bunkering and Fuel Oil Forum (FUJCON 2025) is set to begin tomorrow in Fujairah, under the theme “Sailing Towards Sustainable Fuels.” The event is organized by the Fujairah Department of Industry and Economy and the Fujairah Port Authority, with support from the Fujairah Oil Industry Zone. It is held under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Hamad bin Mohammed Al Sharqi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Fujairah.

This year’s forum focuses on “Achieving the Maritime Vision: Sailing Towards Sustainable Fuels.” The agenda includes presentations from prominent industry figures, decision-makers, thought leaders, and maritime experts. Additionally, senior analysts from S&P Global Commodity Insights—a leading global provider of data, analytics, and benchmark prices for energy, commodities, and energy transition markets—will provide analyses and insights into developments in the global bunkering market.

His Excellency Engineer Saif Ghobash Al Marri, Assistant Undersecretary for the Oil, Gas, and Mineral Resources Sector at the Ministry of Energy and Infrastructure, will deliver the Ministry’s address.

The event will also feature a distinguished lineup of experts, global leaders, and thinkers, including Dave Ernsberger, Co-President of S&P Global Commodity Insights; Arsenio Dominguez, Secretary-General of the International Maritime Organization; and Kenneth Dam, President of Global Marine Bunkering.

The first day of the forum, which runs until April 9, will cover a wide range of topics. These include changes in global trade patterns and their impact on bunker fuel market fundamentals, managing trading risks in the bunkering sector, the evolution of Fujairah’s strategic role as a global maritime hub, shifting trade flows, global shipping issues, and the demand for petroleum products and its effect on the local storage market.
