Sungrow, a foremost international inverter and energy storage system provider, has been enlisted by India’s Larsen & Toubro (L&T) for a significant PV plant initiative in Saudi Arabia.
According to the agreement, Sungrow will deliver inverter skid technologies for a 2.2 GWac PV facility, which stands as the Middle East’s most extensive utility-scale PV Plant at a single location.
This plant is a component of the NEOM Green Hydrogen Project located in Saudi Arabia’s northwestern region. L&T serves as the EPC solution provider for the renewable energy and the related evacuation infrastructure of this expansive project. Sungrow has a deep-rooted involvement in the NEOM Green Hydrogen initiative.
Notably, a couple of quarters ago, the firm had finalized a deal with L&T to offer 400 MWh energy storage systems, which includes a DC capacity of 536MW/600MWh. The provision of Sungrow’s 1+X Modular Inverter solution for the 2.2 GWac PV facility marks another significant supply milestone for the firm within this venture.
