Saudi Health Minister Fahd Aljalajel recently attended the ministerial-level committee and the policy forum of the Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD), which was on Tuesday.

The two-day meetings, held in Paris, were focused on helping to shape policies for building more resilient healthcare systems and discussing challenges facing member countries to cope with future epidemics.

During the forum, it was noted that Minister Aljalajel met with OECD Secretary General Mathias Cormann, to discuss strengthening the partnership between Saudi Arabia and the organisation.

In other meetings with the likes of Italian Health Minister Orazio Schillaci, Greek Health Minister Adonis Georgiadis, and Singapore’s Health Minister Ong Ye Kung, areas of cooperation in the field of Public Health were discussed, alongside mutual experiences in the developing healthcare systems.

Wednesday also saw Minister Aljalajel visit the Foch Hospital and the Ramsay Healthcare company, meeting with the leadership team to discuss investment opportunities offered by Saudi Arabia in the healthcare sector.
