The Desert Vipers, the cricket team that plays in the UAE Twenty20 league, the DP World ILT20, has announced its partnership with Hertz UAE, part of the Al-Futtaim Automotive Group, aimed at reducing their carbon footprint.
The team shared that Hertz UAE will be the franchise’s Sustainable Mobility Partner for the year-long collaboration.
Through this, it will supply electric and hybrid vehicles to the team, aligning with its goal to cut carbon emissions by 50% by 2030, transitioning to net zero by 2040.
The partnership also extends to supporting the Desert Vipers’ schools outreach programme. Here, Hertz UAE’s logos will be featured on the Vipers shirts distributed to students participating in the schools outreach programme.
Hertz UAE will also play an active role in events to raise awareness about the Desert Vipers commitment to sustainability,
