Dubai Customs has announced that it has secured a Business Continuity Certificate according to ISO 22301:2019 standards as a result of its established mechanisms for ongoing institutional resilience enhancement.
As per the certification, Dubai Customs conducts comprehensive risk comprehension and priority delineation and provides an integrated emergency and crisis management team. This, it was shared, ensures the sustained provision of business operations and services with “optimal efficiency” and swift responses to disruptions during crises and emergencies, minimising adverse crisis impacts.
According to Dubai Customs, this response and business continuity were demonstrated in both the recent extreme weather events in the UAE and the COVID-19 pandemic.
Rashid Al-Sharid, Executive Director of the Finance and Administration Division, received the certificate from Eng. Nizar Bashaireh, CEO of Global Business Bureau, at the department’s main headquarters in Rashid Port.
