On the sidelines of the Make It in the Emirates Forum, ADNOC Distribution shared that, as part of its five-year growth and expansion strategy, it plans to launch more fast EV charging points, Emirates News Agency, WAM reported.
Engineer Bader Saeed Al Lamki, CEO of ADNOC Distribution, made the announcement that while ADNOC Distribution currently has 90 fast EV charging points in key locations, it aims to reach 150-200 fast chargers by the end of this year.
Looking ahead, the company plans to install 500 fast electric chargers over the next five years.
The UAE, more broadly, is aiming to increase the share of electric vehicles on the roads to 50 per cent by 2050.
