The General Civil Aviation Authority (GCAA) has announced the introduction of a Civil Aviation cybersecurity policy.
This follows on from the recently launched National Civil Aviation Cybersecurity Strategy for Civil Aviation, initiated by the GCAA in collaboration with the UAE Cybersecurity Council.
The objective is to develop a secure digital infrastructure to protect civil aviation systems and networks against cyber threats. As such, it establishes an organised framework for executing the national strategy and fostering coordination among relevant authorities responsible for its implementation.
The GCAA shared that it is actively developing guidance materials to support the implementation of the cybersecurity policy.
