Kuehne+Nagel recently organised a beach cleaning initiative in Muscat, Oman, to promote awareness of the importance of maintaining a clean and healthy marine ecosystem.
The Bandar Al Khairan beach cleaning initiative saw participation from Kuehne+Nagel employees who volunteered to take part.
With the Bandar Al Khairan beach in Muscat heavily contaminated with rubbish, including plastic waste, the initiative highlighted the impact of plastic pollution and aimed to encourage responsible waste disposal and sustainable practices in daily life.
Collected waste was disposed of responsibly to prevent further contamination, it was shared.
Commenting on the initiative, Rayya Al Habsi, Branch Manager at Kuehne+Nagel, Muscat, said: “The team spirit and motivation of our team clearly show the importance of environmental sustainability and community engagement.”
Adding: “We must recognize the critical role businesses play in driving positive change, such as preserving the beauty of Oman’s coastline.”
